1. Today’s Activity: Anna’s Corner! ( English work for today )
Hi my super star students! I miss you all very much. I hope you and your families are safe and staying active at home.
First, please watch this video. You can put subtitles on to help you understand the English!
This is an interesting time in our lives, and it can bring up many negative emotions: anger, sadness, fear, boredom, and more. It’s important for us to express these emotions in a healthy way!
In your notebooks, I want you to journal in English for 10 minutes about the emotions you are feeling. Please write about whatever you are feeling, good or bad. It’s okay to express negative emotions!
Then, I’d like you to talk with a family member (your mom, dad, brother, sister, and more) about your writing. Discover what they have to say about how you’re feeling.
If you have any questions, comments, or just want to tell me something, please comment below!
Next will have until to next Tuesday to do it and it will be your English work for Monday and Tuesday

Today’s Activity: Anna’s Corner! ME and my relative project ( English work from today to Tuesday May 5th )
Good morning my beautiful students! Since we are all spending time with our families or talking to our families on the phone often, now is a good time to learn more about our family histories!
For this activity, you need to phone call or video call a family member (relative) of your choice: it could be your grandfather, your aunt, your older cousin, anyone. Call someone you haven’t seen in some time or that you can’t visit right now under quarantine.
I want you to ask about what their life was like when they were your age.
- What was school like? Which subjects did they enjoy?
- What activities did they enjoy? Did they play sports or participate in art activities?
- What were their biggest fears at the time?
- Who were their friends? Do they still talk to those friends now?
- What clothing did they wear? What styles were popular?
- What did they do after school? What did life look like with less technology at home?
Record their answers in your notebook,, in other paper or in digital . Then, make a venn diagram (see the example below). In the three spaces, write which things are unique to you, which are unique to your family member (relative), and which things you share.
